ciamara
Funny you mention "pushing" .... A lot of engineers I know that grew up mixing on analog boards do just that -- push meters into the red to get some "good" distortion and "fatness" to the sound. And when those engineers started mixing on Pro Tools or another DAW system, they found that pushing created "bad" distortion in the form of clipping or thin-sounding mixes. Over time, they learned how to use the technology well ... and the results speak for themselves. I also have to agree with your feelings here. I was not a big digital fan until recent months. Now that I'm hearing what I'm hearing through top quality DACs, I finally no longer miss my turntables! Sanjay Patel | Ciamara Corporation | New York, NY | www.ciamara.com Link to comment
