Cebolla
More likely CCA doesn't work so well with DLNA, apparently CCA uses a different protocol called DIAL:https://www.quora.com/Will-the-Chromecast-device-support-DLNA-or-any-other-streaming-protocols The CCA does not actually work at all with UPnP/DLNA and as you say it uses a different protocol. The whole point of the BubbleUPnP Server method is that it translates or provides a bridge between the two protocols. This then allows you to 'use' the CCA with any standard UPnP/DLNA controller or any OpenHome (aka UPnP with Linn extensions, ie, yet another protocol that's not standard UPnP/DLNA) controller to stream files from any UPnP/DLNA media server. The BubbleUPnP Server method should be using exactly the same protocols to communicate with the CCA as the AirParrot method. So, it shouldn't make any difference which of the two methods you are using, so long as the same audio file is being streamed by the CCA. The main thing that's not been been varified is what audio file format (containing the captured audio of the machine running software playing the original file) the AirParrot uses to stream to the CCA. We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us. -- Jo Cox Link to comment
