Jud
My Supermicro X11SSH-F support RAM DDR4 ECC and non ECC type, what's the best? Depends what you want it to do. Supermicro is usually a server board for something like a NAS, for which you'd want ECC to prevent data corruption. In a different use case for which you'd more likely be using a different board - a gaming machine, for example - non-ECC RAM could be a touch faster. One never knows, do one? - Fats Waller The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. - Einstein Computer, Audirvana -> optical Ethernet to Fitlet3 -> Fibbr Alpha Optical USB -> iFi NEO iDSD DAC -> Apollon Audio 1ET400A Mini (Purifi based) -> Vandersteen 3A Signature. Data corruption is rare enough that the computer is more likely to crash for other reasons. A storage system is special since if corruption does occur it risks becoming permanent. Link to comment
