The Computer Audiophile
HI Guys - User tagging and notification is now enabled on CA. Simply use the @ symbol in front of someone's username and they will be notified. The username them becomes clickable as well. There is also a hashtag feature that works as the name suggests, for example #New-Features; (still tweaking this features though). To adjust individual settings related to this new feature you can visit http://www.computeraudiophile.com/usertag.php?do=profile&action=options Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

I just received notification that a reply of mine had been quoted. P.S. "Quotes" 07-21-2016 07:42 AM - Hidden 07:33 AM - Hidden 07:11 AM - Hidden . ??? How a Digital Audio file sounds, or a Digital Video file looks, is governed to a large extent by the Power Supply area. All that Identical Checksums gives is the possibility of REGENERATING the file to close to that of the original file. PROFILE UPDATED 13-11-2020 Link to comment

徐中銳
Me, of User Tagging - General Settings I've not opt out of any. Because if I'm in-the-conversation then I-should-know whether to contribute-to-it. Both tagging and hashtags are worthwhile community features ‽ Surely, very seldom would someone abuse their usage. « an accurate picture Sono pessimista con l'intelligenza, ma ottimista per la volontà. severe loudspeaker alignment » Link to comment

徐中銳
Hi @徐中銳 - Just testing the mention feature with non-english characters :~) Somehow, no Mention Email, only received a Reply to thread Email I believe mentions are especially good for alerting those we know to topics which they care about but may not be aware of. CA is very extensive, I certainly don't read every Thread, nor, then again, am I likely to be mentioned that often—both because of my Chinese spelling and ungraspable eccentricity Well, practically, wouldn't @Kal Rubinson appreciate being alerted to surround-sound discussions—which he has been known to care for ? « an accurate picture Sono pessimista con l'intelligenza, ma ottimista per la volontà. severe loudspeaker alignment » Link to comment

Immediacy, one can never be sure how urgent others are. Myself, I've written of my preference : Thomas' date='[/font']I've quoted Gracián before. This time, for you, I'll quote (and translate) part of another memorable maxim of his : « Gran decir : 'el tiempo y yo a otros dos.' ('Time and I against any two others,' is a fine saying.) » Thus, usually, I prefer to wait as long as I can (so my own thoughts might settle, mature) before writing. sandyk
Chris Nice work !
