It is highly recommended for all AO users, no matter if they are using Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2 or Windows 10, to update to AO 2.10. AO 2.10 does not work on Windows Server 2016. For AO 2.00 users there will be no new key needed. User still on 1.30 or 1.40 can get the upgrade via our download portal. After running setup again, I cannot get LAN service to work. The Service Tool doesn't restore LAN function. Steve Plaskin Link to comment
AudioPhil
Hello AO or setup does not change anything with the LAN service. That's also why a reset with ServiceTool does not help. It seems you have a Windows/Driver issue, not an AO issue. Should you need more help please start a new thread in our sponsored Forum. AudioPhil
Version 2.20 Beta 2a ================================================================= AudiophileOptimizer 2.20 - Ability to disable Cortana (Windows 10) - Ability to remove Windows Defender (Windows Server 2016) - Updated MediaPlayer support for Windows Server 2016 Core Mode - Support for Windows Server 2016 RTM (Standard, Datacenter & Essentials) - Support for Windows Server 2016 Evaluation (Standard, Datacenter & Essentials) - Removed Support for Windows Server 2016 TP5 (Standard, Datacenter & Essentials) - LockScreen disabled for Windows Server 2016 - ActionCenter disabled for Windows Server 2016 - Kernel-Streaming for Windows Server 2016 in Core Mode ServiceTool 2.20 - Kodi Shell Replacement - Alchemy Shell Replacement - HQPlayer NAA Shell Replacement - Roon and HQPlayer Shell Replacement (starts Roon and HQPlayer together, detects x86/x64 HQP) - RoonServer and HQPlayer Shell Replacement (starts RoonServer and HQPlayer together, detects x86/x64 HQP) - Fix & Update for HQPlayer Shell Replacement, detects x86/x64 path of HQP - Support for Windows Server 2016 RTM & Evaluation - Update of Windows Server 2016 WLAN support - ST does not longer show option to switch modes in Windows Server 2016 (since Microsoft removed ability to do so) Setup 2.20 - Support for Windows Server 2016 RTM & Evaluation - Update of the PDF Guide Something special to mention about this release are the new HQPlayer/Roon Combo Shell Replacements. They are useful if one is using Roon or RoonServer together with HQPlayer. This shell replacement also automatically detects if the x86 or x64 version of HQPlayer is installed and sets the according Shell Replacement, so both Roon/RoonServer and HQPlayer will fire up after login. It is now also possibly to set HQPlayer network audio daemon as shell replacement. To do so networkaudiod.exe needs to be copied into C:\Program Files\Signalyst\HQPlayer Desktop 3 before running the NAA shell replacement. We also have new Shell Replacements for Kodi & Alchemy. Windows 10 Users can now disable Cortana and Windows Server 2016 users can entirely remove the Windows Defender. Aside from all that the MediaPlayer support for Windows Server 2016 has been updated. I did a standard install on both. I did make a shortcut link for HQP to the desktop. However, how come only my Audiophile Optimizer is showing 2.10 but my Service Tool is still showing at 2.00? Hello This is very weird. kryton
Hello. I am using AO 2.20 Beta 2a on Windows 2016 Server Standard Core mode. All is working. Better sound than Windows 2012 Server Core AO 2.00. Very good job. Thank you. After one week without problem suddenly Windows Modules Installer Workers / TiWorker.exe process starts with CPU load 50% and high HDD activity. During this activity there were drop outs in audio playback. I was not able to stop this process. After server restart there was 10 minutes all OK and after that TiWorker.exe starts again. Only solution was wait 20 minutes to TiWorker.exe finished its job. Since that time problem has not occurred (3 days). I think that it was Windows maintenance job (defragmentation or something similar). Windows Update service is disabled. Is there any possibility to disable this process? Link to comment
AudioPhil
Hello Kryton You can try disabling the "TrustedInstaller" service.
