Dragonfly Black USB 3.0 issue

I'm new to this forum, so sorry if there's a thread on this already.

 

I've bought a dragonfly Black to use on my PC audio setup. I built the pc myself and I built it without and USB 2.0 ports. I didn't see the need for them.

 

I plugged the dragonfly into one of the 12 USB 3.0 ports and the pc recognised it, but it won't set up as an audio device. Is there anyway around this? Every other usb 2.0 devices I have work in the usb 3.0 ports. It seems a little ridiculous to have add a USB 2 expansion card just for this.
