NAIDIVER
I ordered a JS-2 LPSU and i want to try feeding Cpu but i'm not sure it's enough or not? PS refer to Paul Pang's atricle in his blog. He mentioned that feeding cpu separately from the main ATX power is fine. no problem at all. It gives more Dynamic and impact. I'm not at home now. but as i remember,it's a core i7 2.2Ghz with SE code.. something like that. plissken
A quick google search of "Core i7 TDP" gives the Wiki for the i7 series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_i7_microprocessors Just lookup the TDP #'s. Range from 25 watts up to something like 140. Your supply is good for 60 watts. So figure 45 watt CPU MAX. 15 left over for everything else. You'll have to do the math. Link to comment

Thanks plissken. i will try it. I can use google to calculate amp from volt and watt. TDP is not over 85W for sure because Core i7 3.6g 4790 is only 85W. Thanks for the idea. ^^ DAC - Mytek Brooklyn, Intona High Speed Isolator.Int.Amp - ATC SIA2 150,SP - ATC SCM19, Sub - Paradigm SW2200 Source - Audio PC, Core i7 4785T 2.2Ghz, 8G PPA RAM, Samsung 850pro , WD Black HDD, JCAT USB card, PPA BLACK SATA Cable, HDPLEX H5 gen2 case, LPSu - Uptone JS-2 for DAC and USB Card - TeraDak ATX350W for PC, OS wins2012R2, Audio Optimizer, Fidelizer Pro, ASIO JPLAY, Foobar2000+Ramdisk, Hq player, SP cable - JPS superconductor2, Analog interconnect - Harmornic Tech Magic link III, USB cable - JCAT twin cable, Power cable - JPS kaptivator for Uptone JS-2 forDAC and USB card, Wireworld electra7 for PC, Wireworld electra7 silver for Amp, Magnet 2000 power line stabilzer and conditioner for DAC,PC Link to comment
juanitox
if the CPU take the max power from the 12V pin of an ATX power supply , what the power needed by the 5V pins ( i presume for disc drive and usb ) and the 3,3V pins ? No... it is not the 5V, it's 12v. The reason that i will do that because I ordered JS-2 for my new Brooklyn DAC and it has both 12v and 5v output. i want to try Paul Pang suggestion in his blog that separately powered to cpu will improve the SQ in term of Dynamic and impact. Secondly i also can try how much noisy of TeraDak compare to JS-2? It just a little bit experiment. so.. That's it... ^^ DAC - Mytek Brooklyn, Intona High Speed Isolator.Int.Amp - ATC SIA2 150,SP - ATC SCM19, Sub - Paradigm SW2200 Source - Audio PC, Core i7 4785T 2.2Ghz, 8G PPA RAM, Samsung 850pro , WD Black HDD, JCAT USB card, PPA BLACK SATA Cable, HDPLEX H5 gen2 case, LPSu - Uptone JS-2 for DAC and USB Card - TeraDak ATX350W for PC, OS wins2012R2, Audio Optimizer, Fidelizer Pro, ASIO JPLAY, Foobar2000+Ramdisk, Hq player, SP cable - JPS superconductor2, Analog interconnect - Harmornic Tech Magic link III, USB cable - JCAT twin cable, Power cable - JPS kaptivator for Uptone JS-2 forDAC and USB card, Wireworld electra7 for PC, Wireworld electra7 silver for Amp, Magnet 2000 power line stabilzer and conditioner for DAC,PC Link to comment
