Tidal with WS2012 in core mode and JRiver?

I've been away from the forum for a while and a quick search didn't return any hits answering this.

 

I'm running an Audio PC with WS2012R2 in core mode, AudiophileOptimizer, and JRiver. Can I use Tidal with this setup?

 

I've seen people saying WS2012 in GUI mode works, even with AO. But nothing about core mode.

 

I've also seen comments saying they output Tidal into JRiver, which works great for me because I use JRiver DSP options for active crossovers.

 

So I guess the big potential roadblock would be if Tidal didn't work in core mode.

If you have an ASIO device this will work without issues (but you'll need AO 2.00 to make TIDAL load at all in core mode).

Is AO 2.00 out yet? I thought it was going to be still some weeks before it was available.

 

BTW, where can I learn about differences between 1.40 and 2.00?

Hi

 

AO 2.00 is available now, it also makes TIDAL (2016 version) working on Server 2012/R2 in core & minimal-server mode.
