rattosecond
Replaced my Mytek 192 with a Yggdrasil and I noticed that the Yggdrasil sound softer than the Mytek. Why is that Yggrasil sounding like that? Is there a way to increase the volume? Link to comment
firedog
The output voltage of the Mytek is high - about double that of the Yggy. The Mytek is "hot", the Yggy is pretty much typical of audio components. Just means you have to turn the amp volume up a bit more to get the same perceived loudness with Yggy. You'll soon get used to the difference and probably won't notice it anymore. Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three . Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup. Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare. All absolute statements about audio are false Link to comment
17629
Probably the best way to increase volume would be to use the volume control on your preamp. Link to comment
