But Yes the Ultra MK.II is an ADD on for BOTW P&P Eco mk I and the new BOTW P&P ECO mk II. Regards Monge Link to comment

mrvco
I have an original Brooklyn DAC and haven't gotten around to buying an LPS for it yet. Is it safe to assume that it is worth waiting for the BOTW P&P ECO 12-13V MKII to ship later this month? And is the Ultra MKII upgrade suitable for use with the first-gen Brooklyn? -- My Audio System Link to comment
Jed
I am interested in purchasing the Brooklyn DAC+ and the Sonore ultraRendu. I'm also considering buying the JS-2 linear power supply. I have two questions. First, it's been recommended here that the Brooklyn DAC+ sounds best at 13.2V. How is that voltage achieved? All of the power supplies I have read about here output 12V. Second, can I use the same JS-2 to power both the ultraRendu and the DAC+? If this is possible, it would be a little easier for me to justify the cost of the JS-2. johndoe21ro 1 Link to comment

A Mytek Brooklyn DAC+, a Sonore ultraRendu, and a JS-2? A sonic match made in heaven! While there have been some reports that SBooster's 3A power supply sounds better with the Brooklyn DAC+ when set to 13.2V, this does not translate to the JS-2 with its 7.2 amp (continuous; peak capability much higher) at 12V. The math and theory of all this gets rather involved, taking into consideration the dynamic performance of the DC-DC switching regulators used in the Mytek DACs. Suffice to say that there are now close to 100 Brooklyn DAC owners greatly enjoying the unique choke-filterer, dual-output JS-2. 12 hours ago, Jed said: Second, can I use the same JS-2 to power both the ultraRendu and the DAC+? August and September have been record months for JS-2 building and shipping, and things were moving so fast that I was late in reordering the beautiful custom aluminum chassis we have made in Japan. So as of today we are sold out for the month, and with the next 100 cases not due to arrive until mid-October we are currently taking reservations--for up to 15 units--set to ship by October 25th. Sorry for that. All this year we have offered clients wait times of just 1-2 weeks, so this is an unusual situation for us. Anyway, please send a message via our web contact page if you wish to reserve a JS-2 for your new set up. so-no-mah
I can (and have) vouch(ed) for the JS-2 DAC+ combo being magic. Not to stir the pot, but I have found the JS-2 to be sensitive to changes in vibration control measures. While I'm pretty sure you can't make it sound bad by choice of footers and platform, the combo does respond to vibration control measures. Get the JS-2 and explore! johndoe21ro 1 Andy Link to comment
voyager
Dear friend, I do have KECES P8 both two output and single output version. After more than five hours of testing with my Brooklyn DAC, no doubt the single output version is better. More vivid, more powerful, deeper and solid bass (It doesn't mean more bass). My system is as follow Pre amp:Nuforce P9, power amp: R9 Ver 3. source: computer ECA Liva Core fanless i3 computer software: Jriver media player music file: flac files DAC: Brooklyn DAC. Speaker: Altec Lansing 288-16G + TESLA ARO9408 I will find a better DC cable to replace the one sent with the machine. I found it sounds less colorful in comparison with original switching power. Popular Post rncasper
I had my Brooklyn DAC+ hooked up to an SBooster BOTW Ultra MK II, which sounded pretty damned good. But I recently bought an UpTone JS-2, to power both my DAC and my SonicTransporter i5. I have to say, there's no comparison between the two--with the JS-2 powering the DAC, there's: a) less noise/top-end harshness, and b) a more holographic sound. I only had to listen to a few notes of these test tracks: Todd Rundgren, "Marlene" (96/24) Minnie Ripperton, "Perfect Angel" (192/24) Elvis Costello, "(I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea" (192/24) davide256, johndoe21ro and Superdad 2 1 Link to comment

Big sonic upgrade versus the stock Keces cable: http://www.ghentaudio.com/part/list-dc.html Seems like there are more options in terms of cable manufacturers, believe mine was Canare wire and Oyaide plugs. Looks like tehre some beefier/lower gauge wires now available. voyager 1 Tone with Soul Link to comment
