beerandmusic
I just downloaded and installed it, and it plays dsd files with no special setup right out of the box, even if you don't have dsd dac (of course at 44.1). I did notice it is beta from dec 2015, so doesn't appear any upgrades/updates in 6 months though... I haven't tried it yet to see if it will play native dsd with a dsd dac and asio driver. https://resonic.at/download Link to comment
beerandmusic
I have played with it only for about 10 minutes now, and i love it. As advertised, very clean, lightweight and F A S T !! SUPER FAST at moving through your folders and changing songs....unbelievably fast https://resonic.at/player Link to comment
beerandmusic
I am so fascinated at the speed and ease of the program, so i went back to read more and i see the pro version is being actively upgraded...even a couple updates this month. Am getting excited...i certainly hope i can play native dsd at 512.....i may actually buy it if it does. my main system is dismantled currently (just sold preamp and bought some new speakers, so it will be a day or two before i test native dsd).... Distinctive
I had a peek at it but didn't like the look and feel of the GUI ('Windows Explorer' type). Have not tried it, though. Link to comment

It's mature, stable and well out of beta. Even has an installable ASIO plugin. http://www.soundonsound.com/ Link to comment

Even has an installable ASIO plugin. SQ and speed for two good reasons....very clean and lightweight in comparison. try it...change songs in both, listen to songs in both, and plays dsd without having to install plugins... if you want something super fast, browser based, great sq, lean, and plays dsd out of the box, this is the only option i know of.
