chip
Hello all, I am seriously considering adding an SSR to my system to replace an extremely troublesome PS Audio BridgeII in my DirectStream DAC. Does anyone have this combination running? I2S or USB? I have noticed the new products from Sonore are supporting Roon but can not find that support mentioned for the SSR. When is Roon support coming for the SSR? Chip Link to comment

chip
My mistake. I should have asked; I2S or SPDIF? From what I can find it seems the I2S is the preferred output for the DS. Link to comment
chip
Hi, yes I did. I received the SSR yesterday so I do not have much to say yet. Setup was nothing but plug it in and it worked without any issues. I do have Ethernet in my listening room so it was quick and easy. Plug in the Ethernet, I2s, and power and it was recognized by Bubble UPnP and immediately I was able to play files from MinimServer. I am replacing the Bridge II in my DS DAC. I experienced too many problems with the BII stopping during playback that usually required resetting the BII to get it to work again. I have not experienced any problems so far with the SSR. I do not have any experience with the Aries or microRendu so I can not make any comparison with them. After two evenings I can say I feel very pleased with results. If you can audition the SSR I think you would be pleased with the results. Good luck in your quest, Chip Link to comment
chip
I wanted to use the I2s input on the DS. Reviews I had read got me interested. Then a review where the DS and SSR were reviewed as a system helped me pull the trigger. NYCEnglish 1 Link to comment
