rogerdn
Going to be powering mine with a P.I Audio BatteryBUSS I was using on my Mini, Dave is replacing the regulator for 7v, but don't have another supply to compare it to. rogerdn Link to comment
rogerdn
You have to be very careful with this. Most cars exceed 12VDC. Probably best to use an isolated power supply that you can remove and charge externally. Use your SOtM battery power supply in the car. Check out the BatteryBUSS that Dave's P.I? Audio makes, I ran a 12v Mini on one for couple yrs, he's converting it now to 7.5. Change the voltage on battery buss rogerdn Link to comment
rogerdn
Looks like a good market for audiophile hard adaptors with a 90 degree "twist" or "rotation." Anyone know if they exist? Mine is warm, not hot at 7v but I can see the advantage of turning it 90. What about turning your DAC rogerdn Link to comment
rogerdn
SonicTransporter/Synology 412+>microRendu>Yggy Powering microRendu with P.I.Audio BatteryBUSS Best SQ ever.... Hi, I have a similar set up, sonic transporter, Schiit Yggy DAC, Microrendu. I use the IfI power supply and the Microrendu gets too hot so I unplug it when not in use. I'm waiting for the Uptone LPS with lower voltage to see if that helps. Do you have this problem or do you use a different power supply. Thanks I'm using the P.I. Audio battery supply at 7.5 v, yes it gets rather hot, believe it's the Yggy. rogerdn Link to comment
