I usually work as a CTO / Technology Strategist and inventor of thermal energy systems.

But I have just signed up as a Captain of a Danish school-ship sailing the south Caribbean.

3 months of sun away from the bleak northern winter :-)

Nice job Captain DigiPete!

We had a wonderful catamaran sailing vacation to the BVI's last summer and will be doing it again next year.

Where did you get your training?

I got my training in Denmark and sailing practice around Scandinavia and in the Caribbean around Grenada and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. And I was on a similar trip for 6 months last year.

This is however work and not a vacation incl. upkeep of an old wooden ship.

But there will be snorkeling at deserted islands, hiking of a volcano and the occasional lobster BBQ :-)

I'd be curious to see a pic of your ship so we can get a sense of your home away from home. What a great experience. I am jealous!

OK.

You asked for it

Yep. I ordered a set of Genelec 8330 Stereo SAMs yesterday. My January audio treat, and I am planning on using them in my office/study combined with a nice comfortable chair. Less work, more relaxation is my goal for this year! ;)

Congrats Paul, those little buggers are amazing!

Hope you got a good deal on a combined package including GLM 2.0 network adaptor and 9310A rotary knob volume controller?
