Ecaz
I recall somewhere that someone suggested that if I wanted high-res opera, then I should look for blue ray dvd's from somewhere like the MET. Can anyone confirm if that would provide a high-res audio experience? Link to comment
maelob
Technically yes if you have a home theatre- some of the Blue rays are encoded with a Dolby True HD sorround- but thats for the whole audio/video experience. If you just like to listen to opera in your stereo you can buy Hires audio downloads at places such as HTracks or eclassical. But if you are a hardcore fan I would just pay the 150 a year for the Met on demand and you will have acesss to hundreds of opera broadcasts and audio. just my two cents Link to comment
