HDTracks Question

Recommended Posts

I am about to order/download something from HDTracks, but I have not done so in about 3 years (e-gad!).

I still have the HDTracks Downloader in my MacBook Pro (10.6.8 aka Snow Leopard). I also still have the "My HDTracks Music" folder on my MBP's desktop.

I will be ordering a 24/48 hi-res download in AIFF (not FLAC).

I just might need a re-fresher from some of you on how to order/download from HDTracks.

Thank you.......

Oh, almost forgot. I have iTunes, where all of my past HDTracks downloads reside. However, much more importantly, all my past HDTracks recordings are in my Audirvana Plus.

I think you will need to download their "new" downloader. It replaced the older one less than 3 years ago, AFAIR.

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.

Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three .

Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup.
Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare.

All absolute statements about audio are false :)

OK, earlier this morning, I did make my aforementioned order and download. Got the new "downloader" and was pretty painless.

So I am now...finally...the proud and happy owner of the Rush album "Signals" in 24/48 AIFF audiophile goodness! :)
