Roon Users: Can you listen with your remote device?

I currently use Tidal on my tablet with headphones for music discovery and then use a MPB w/Jriver & Tidal in my 2 channel rig when doing critical listening. If I subscribe to Roon and use the Tidal integration, can I use the Roon software on the tablet for music discovery w/headphones or does it only playback audio thru the MBP itself?

Unfortunately, there is no playback on iOS or Android. Local playback of course works on the Microsoft Surface or equivalent Windows 10 devices.
