iOS 9.3 Upgrade - Big Trouble

Just upgraded my iPad to iOS 9.3. I would need to activate, but the only message I get is activation server unavailable. Connecting with my MBP and iTunes does not work either.

 

Contacted Apple Support: rather useless, chat got terminated, since my counterpart has not upgraded yet:-)

 

Take it slowly...

 

This is what I just got from a support rep who was finally helpful:

"This is an issue that we’ve seen with the iPad after the update and are addressing it. We’re currently submitting tickets to our engineers for the resolution. This submission needs to be done by a Senior Advisor."

So I am currently on the phone waiting...

FWIW, I updated my 3rd-gen iPad and my iPhone 6s this morning without incident.
