thyristor44
Hello I have just bought a Philips cd of Mozart string and wind quintets and quartets by acadamy of st martins in the field 1991. I find the quality rather lacking and would like the facility to look up the cd first. Has anyone any ideas as I am on a strictly limited budget so cant afford the wrong choice. This purchase was because I reconnected my pioneer pl-3000 and played mozart horn quintet k407 and it was brilliant but I wanted a cd. Any ideas please. Thanks thyristor44 Link to comment

Audio_ELF
If you subscribe electronically to Gramophone you get access to their on-line archive too. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
