anyway... where files are stored doesn't make any difference, since A+ only uses files embedded tags to sort/group your music, not the whole path or folders structure

if tags are fine then... a database issue, I would guess

try removing then, once your library is empty, re-adding everything

A+ has always (as far as I remember, but for sure since v2.0) opened where left, on my Mac

To be more specific in case Damien has a look at this, Audirvana is quite systematically aborting when trying to play a 24/xxx track from Qobuz and upsample it to 24/192. This does not happen when playing 16/44.1 tracks and upsampling. This pb did not occur with 2.3.3 but started with 2.3.8.

 

 

here I am streaming a 24-44.1 album from Qobuz and upsampling it to 24-192 without any issue (A+ 2.4.0)

 

 

I'm a little puzzled, though, as A+ says a 16-44.1 file is playing (Sublime subscription) and thinking about it... never saw 24 bit files being streamed (but I usually do not pay attention to it)

To be able to stream in in high res on portable devices or when you travel with A+ but don't bring your library for example.

and now that I got how Qobuz hi-res streaming works... @SwissBear: here I'm streaming 24/48 and upsampling, with no issue at all, to 24/192:

I'll always leave room for users to tune the resulting sound (e.g. different Integer modes, upsampling filters) as the connected system, and the tastes are not unique.

sorry: can't test here as I only use, for classical music, "composer" as artist and put everything else in dedicated tags

@Damien: guess nothing you can/should do about it but... Tidal volume is at least twice as loud as everything else

Qobuz and local files are quite on par but when streaming from Tidal I have to turn volume almost all the way down

definitely something weird on Tidal using Safari: clicking "Login" just opens a black, empty, page :-/

all is fine in Firefox though

if some features (as stated on the website, seen using Firefox) are only available using Chrome... means Flash *is* required!

@Damien: bug in A+ 2.5 (or in Yate?) -> track rating in A+ is one star less than what I assign using Yate :-/

got in contact with Barry (Yate developer): he told me there's no standard for ID3 ratings, but Yate has an Audirvana preset you can pick in Preferences/Audio
