new_media
The information I have measured is that the full moon is 31 arc minutes in width with very minor variations at apogee and perigee. It's difficult to measure on the horizon because of atmosphere. Measurements don't tell the whole story. Maybe we are measuring the wrong thing. If esldude says he sees the moon getting smaller, we can only conclude that it is getting smaller, at least for him. Link to comment
new_media
Once my wife, who has no interest in astronomy, looked out our front window and, completely unsolicited, noted that the moon looked smaller than it had earlier in the evening. Link to comment
