And here's the best of Edifier, in one sense anyway - though the H850 has a more classic neutral bass, both the H840 and H850 share an excellent midrange and treble. But should you prefer the warmer bass, say, half to 2/3 the strength of a v-moda M100, at 1/6 the price of the M100, here for your consideration is the H840:

Just experimenting, for better light, better background. I have the Leica Q, Leica D-Lux, Nikon 'A' - none of which are producing decent color indoors, no matter the setting I use. I've run the color temperature scale up and down to no avail. I do alright with stills, doing the PP in my photo editor, but videos are a pain. Anyway, I need to get the tripod set up better in the car to get more room behind the camera. Other than that it seems to be doing well.
