New NY Phil Maestro Jaap Van Zweden To Be Renamed 'David Geffen' This is just over-the-top stupid and appalling of Geffen I. Nice that he donated the bucks to classical music but was this really necessary?! Link to comment

chrille
New NY Phil Maestro Jaap Van Zweden To Be Renamed ‘David Geffen’. Hm?! New NY Phil Maestro Jaap Van Zweden To Be Renamed 'David Geffen' Did anyone actually notice that the site that has this as news is actually a satirical site "to be taken with a pinch of salt" as the saying goes. On the other hand I would gladly change my name to David Geffen for a lot less than 50million. Link to comment
bmoura
Follow-up: His Bruckner's 1st Symphony (Challenge Classics) was a Gramophone Editor's Choice for June 2015. It is available from Presto Classical as a SACD or 16/44 download; available as a DSD download from nativedsd if you prefer that flavor. Right. There are 7 albums by Jaap Van Zweden on Native DSD in Stereo and Multichannel DSD. https://www.nativedsd.com/new_browse Link to comment

craighartley
Thanks for this info Krzysztof. Just curious:1) why did you purchase PCM instead of DSD (original format)? 2) are there any ticks, clicks or other undesirable noises between tracks? Now you have me seriously considering this one. What makes you think the original format was DSD? Link to comment
