La danse macabre avec God—

Recommended Posts

Godard—that is. My favourite film, which these holidays am re-watching parts of, being his Pierrot le fou :

Mono soundtrack ; I've the Criterion DVD (as well as a Japanese) release and will, in short, soon search an appropriate European Blu-ray version.

Yeah, wishing you a pleasant break, trusting there'd be time for whatever your audio or AV...

Memento mori, be safe :)

In short, I rotate specific setups to best enjoy the media I want to playback—using different combinations of products I've been collecting since 1997. And with 4:3 DVDs, for example LC's « Live in London », I prefer to move the plasma away and watch with 33" CRT...

That's a ES7001 from 2008 that I snapped up—only 2 were ever imported into New Zealand by Mike...

But another time, I need right now to enjoy my system rather than taking the time talking about it.

Although' date=' over the years, I've collected 6 distinct [b']Marantz[/b] amplification systems, I want another for 2016, their MSRP $1,099 HD-AMP1 because it'd be, in short, a special kind of an onesie solution to my present needs (which are both obvious and antiquated).

Some images from 11.2 MHz DSD&384 kHz 32 bit PCM (¥140,000) HD-AMP1 before more words when I've leisure time to explain :

Others are commenting on the importance of Marantz to me in Chris Connaker's reminder of « your ignore lists »

Well, for the record, I'm not devoted to the brand ; I'm a supporter of my friend, Ken Ishiwata who is currently working at Marantz, buying his products that suits my Hi-Fi needs.

In other words, say Marantz is the 1714 Stradivarius « Dolphin » ; it's akin to my being friends with Heifetz and supporting his time playing it :

This violin is recognized as one of the top three violins made by Stradivari along with the 1715 “Alard” and the 1716 “Messiah”. This instrument was once owned and played by the world famous virtuoso Jascha Heifetz...

And after Ken retires, I too retire from my study of Marantz (like how Akiko Suwanai isn't a priority for my listening).

Jabès wrote in his Réponse à une lettre :

« Dieu est né de l'immortel désir de mourir de Dieu. »

Whatever.

Yet, you should know that both my parents have been dead for over 20 years. Thoughts of mortality do occupy and affect me. The Arts help, until they don't. Same goes for music :

Most of YouTube's quality are poor—both of the above max at 480p, they're but leads...

If I'm indeed to sign my identity to some of their music uploads, akin to Duchamp's Readymades :

Then look in my favourite YouTube 'live performances' :) Well, I trust it's helpful to know where I'm coming from
