wappinghigh
Sonos Spotify app still sucks Spotify still rules Spotify Connect just blows em away with it's ease of use and simplicity So Kazoo won't stream Tidal to a non Tidal compliant Renderer? So how many devices out there are actually properly Tidal compliant? Bubble UPnP still only available on a droid... LOL!!! How many cartwheels does a guy have to do to get a simple streaming system set up.. Wake up renderer manufactureres.. and just pay for the API and just embed the Music streaming services PROPERLY!!! Get on with it!!! Stop ya mucking around with consumers... The absolute NON brainers should be 1/ Spotify 2/ Pandora 3/ Tidal (for the hirez buffs) That's it.. JDI Just do it!!!! hahahahahahaha New simplified setup: STEREO- Primary listening Area: Cullen Circuits Mod ZP90> Benchmark DAC1>RotelRKB250 Power amp>KEF Q Series. baddog
I would suggest researching a little further into Spotify and their licensing policies. This would explain why you do not yet see it incorporated into many devices other than Sonos. Btw, when you say renderer manufacturers, whom are you specifically referring to, hardware companies? realhifi
This might be solved by using a computer for audio. If only you could stream multi room seamlessly and in synch with a computer. That is (one reason anyway) why Sonos is so popular. David Link to comment

realhifi
Some clever guy in Spotify will work out how to do this.. ... that must be coming surely... I don't think they are in a big hurry to allow one piece of hardware (ala Sonos) stream to multi rooms as opposed to having a piece of hardware in every room that has their streamer embedded. They are not making anything on a free computer app. David Link to comment
wappinghigh
^ No you have missed the big picture... What about a piece of software that runs somewhere on your network that could co-ordinate in party mode (all via the Spotify app)... all the individual Spotify streams into all those individual "Spotify Connected" devices... That's assuming people have them and that they care about having them synch. Sounds like Sonos to me except for the "Connect" part which is still up in the air for the Sonos / Spotify "marriage". From what I hear it's being negotiated. Lol! No "kaboom"......Sonos isn't going anywhere that's for sure! They are spending more on advertising than most other companies are bringing in in TOTAL and their new software makes their speakers sound even better with the room correction feature. wappinghigh
How sure are you of a Spotify Sonos "marriage"? Making Spotify customers repeat logging in (is this monthly now??) sounds more like heading for divorce ? Making Spotify customers repeat logging in (is this monthly now??) sounds more like heading for divorce ? Do you honestly believe that either party wants to part company? They need each other and will work out a compromise that both can live with. I'm thinking you haven't quite got a realistic view on what Sonos has turned into as far as a market force. realhifi
I believe Apple Music is headed Sonos- that should eliminate the spotty issues. Not a rumor. It's on it's way and will hit before the end of the year. That along with Deezer (or Tidal) that's already on their list of services and I'm good. You need to have premium Spotify to utilize it on the Sonos ecosystem anyway so I can't imagine there won't be a slow and steady shift from Spotify to Apple Music over the next year or two. Now that Apple Music is available on android devices it's only a matter of time before it starts showing up on other hardware, i.e. , Marantz, Denon, Cambrige Audio, etc. and it will shoehorn in perfectly with all those components that are already offering AirPlay embedded in their products.
