There were some very fine (and almost needless to say, beautifully recorded) tracks available with this promotion last year. Very much looking forward to it this year.

Thanks for the reminder. These are almost always wonderful free selections each year. And a great Linn tradition for us downloaders...guess that makes us freeloaders :)

Hi!

Got a question:

I have a MacBook Pro w/Snow Leopard (10.6) and Audirvana Plus (not the 2.0 A+ just yet, but need to upgrade to).

I downloaded the Linn 24 Bits of Christmas - Movies to my MacBook via the Studio Quality (24/196) ALAC download. I noticed that, according to the A+ "dashboard", track 1 has "Apple Lossless 24/44.1", track 2 has "Apple Lossless 24/96", and track 3 has "Apple Lossless 24/48".

Did I do this download correctly, and /or is my set-up described above up to snuff?

I've still yet to purchase my first DAC.

Thanks for your help...or any suggestions you may have.

BTW, the Linn Download Manager did automatically download into my Mac to use for future Linn downloads.

The sample rates match what I got when I selected the highest quality ("Studio Master").

I recall from past years that Linn always offers each track in the highest sampling frequency that is available, but they all have 24 bit depth (hence the name of the giveaway being "24-Bits of Christmas").
