Jeff Beck on HDT Beckola and Truth

Recommended Posts

Jeff Beck is my absolute favorite so here's hoping. I believe these tapes were never good but hope I'm wrong. Beckola is only $10 too. Busy today but I'll get them tomorrow unless I hear they are awful which is entirely possible.

I like the "Truth". Has a little volume compression. My previous CD remaster (with Bonus Tracks) has the same average DR, 10, but there are is more variation (DR 9-12), so I think it sounds less compressed.

But overall it sounds good, I'm happy I've got it.

A side step here that I purchased the Iconoclassic Jeff Beck Group Rough and Ready and Orange CD's. The best I've heard. All that muddiness compression has been lifted. Not high-res but really good nor expensive.
