sandyk Posted September 16, 2015 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I have been using a dedicated +5V Linear PSU and modified (no +5V) cable between USB memory and HDDs to the USB input of my Oppo 103 for quite some time now. I expect that the Regen in conjunction with a further improved PSU than the original +7.5V SMPS wallwart, will do an even better job, although John Swenson has already pointed out that it isn't optimised for this use. Alex How a Digital Audio file sounds, or a Digital Video file looks, is governed to a large extent by the Power Supply area. All that Identical Checksums gives is the possibility of REGENERATING the file to close to that of the original file. PROFILE UPDATED 13-11-2020 Link to comment
