Audacity, how does it really work?

There are several services for streamrecoring on the market and I think it is a good solution, instead of subscribing for an account for every single Music platform! But Audacity doesn't work in my case.. The Quality is pretty bad and it dosen't cut the advertisment! Is this true or did I do something wrong?

Audacity (unless you are talking about another product I'm unaware of) is simply a sound recorder / editor. I assume you have set it up to record whatever is playing on your computer in which case it will record everything including any advertisements, etc.

 

May I ask for what purpose you are recording the stream from a streaming service? Generally you will not get assistance here with recording copyrighted material.
