With regard to upgrading from W7..... I'm guessing a clean install is the way to go. What are it's pros and cons. Is it worth the effort. Any and all info gratefully recieved. sbgk Posted July 16, 2015 Share Posted July 16, 2015 I've used it through the many incarnations of beta, no complaints about sq, think it's better than 8.1. power switch option is now in bottom left which seems revolutionary. security seems improved as I now use a pin instead of password. Therefore it's somewhat closer to the much cleaner LTSB version of Windows 10. Edge browser should be gone for good as mentioned here Regarding the internet cpl there's no problems at all for me. BTW, i didn't remove old IE, just Edge. Classical internet CPL is working nicely for me, even the "modern" one. Firefox has proxy settings as usual etc. Dunno what "side effects" removing the parental controls package will cause. Haven't noticed any..
