HIFI
What am I doing wrong? I can listen to spotify on my iPad. I can select airport in wifi network choice and stream. Now I am off my internet network so I can't search artist in spotify or use any web browsing. Is there something I need to do first with iPad and airport before I jump into spotify? Thanks My System : TWO SPEAKERS AND A CHAIR Link to comment
Cebolla
You need to use the Airport Express's AirPlay streaming function, not its wireless network connection! You also need to make sure your Airport Express is correctly connected to the rest of your network, ie the same network your iPad is connected to when it's correctly accessing the internet with Spotify working, etc. For example, you can get the Airport Express to join an existing network by WiFi in client mode, see: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201621 For further info about network configurations for your Airport Express to enable AirPlay streaming, see: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202192 On the iPad, you should be able to select the AirPort Express as its AirPlay device by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and accessing the iPad's Control Center. If you tap the AirPlay icon the Airport Express should appear on the device list. HIFI
Thanks for helping. Forgive me . . . Computer dumb . . . How do I get to "utility"? I understand I connect an audio cable. I understand I use airport as an "add to existing" network. I just don't know how but think it is "utility". Thanks again. My System : TWO SPEAKERS AND A CHAIR Link to comment
Cebolla
I see from your sig you have a Mac Mini, so the Airport Utility should be already installed with OS X, in the Utilities folder, below the Applications folder. There might be a quicker way to get to it, but I'm not familiar with Macs. We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us. -- Jo Cox Link to comment
