(currently only in combination with BubbleDS Next or BubbleUPnP on Android!) - JPLAYStreamer adds support for Pause & Seek functionality - New parameter: XtreamMode: Some older drivers which worked with v5 do not work with v6. sligolad
I have to say I have always been against allowing anything network related near my Audio PC setup and always had the network adapters disabled in bios but given all the feedback I made the jump to Dual PC setup again and I was surprised at the improvement i found given my tendency to keep as little in the chain as possible so I am a dual PC convert again. Decided to go all in last weekend and try Minim-server with Kazoo and again all my expectations were blown out of the water, an amazing achievement given all that is going on with servers, networking and adapters which in the past never worked that well for me. 2 years ago I was in dual PC territory with JPlay and asio to JRiver but i tired of the sound and all the politics with JRiver so went back to building a highly optimized Audio PC which gave me great sound using JPlay Mini and never looked back. Great to see we now have a solution which gives great sound and the facility to call up the music from my iPad. Well done guys you have come a long way :-) Cheers, Pearse. Marcin_gps
Hi Pearse, Thanks for the report! Was that official or alternative build? BTW - single PC config sounds good too with JPLAYStreamer Cheers, Marcin JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment
sligolad
Hi Marcin, Been using Alternative build on all recent installations and it really does sound good. I have made a lot of changes recently but within all these it seems to me that JPlay 6.1 has made a significant step forward in sound over version 6 which I was not expecting. From memory the change log did not mention any real change for audio playback but it seems something significant has changed for the better. Keep up the great work. Cheers, Pearse. Must update my Sig.... Marcin_gps
Yes, we did a lot of testing and listening Almost all optimization was in JPLAYStreamer. Official is closer to Alternative now in 6.1, but I still prefer the Alternative. BTW - you might want to try changing Clock in regedit to 3. I find using system timer of 0.5ms less optimal with low DAC Link. In my system the sound is less nervous without losing the magic Cheers, Marcin JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

I would think 700 as it is a lower number, but......(making sure) DTB Rig: https://cgi.audioasylum.com/systems/9648.html Link to comment
Marcin_gps
It's 1Hz not 1kHz, so it's a lower frequency than 700Hz JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

dtb300
Note that you'll have to reboot or restart JPLAYService (Task Manager -> Services tab) afterwards Yep.... And when you change the CLOCK setting in Registry, should the Clock value listed in JPlaySettings change too? Or does it always list as 0.5ms DTB Rig: https://cgi.audioasylum.com/systems/9648.html Link to comment
Marcin_gps
Yes, it should change in JPLAYSettings afterwards unless you're forcing 0,5ms with other app Have you reboot/restarted JPLAYService? Cheers, Marcin JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment
dtb300
Yes, it should change in JPLAYSettings afterwards unless you're forcing 0,5ms with other app Have you reboot/restarted JPLAYService? Yep Reboot and/or restart service. Double checked again this AM. Registry entry for "Clock" Value = 3 and JPlaySettings shows "Clock 0.5ms" DTB Rig: https://cgi.audioasylum.com/systems/9648.html Link to comment
TJHUB
Jplay 6 has been an amazing improvent in anything I've used in the past. I switched to Alternative a few weeks back, and last night I did the Clock set to 3. It does exactly what Marcin stated. BTW, my JplaySettings menu now shows "Clock 15.6ms". Link to comment

sligolad
I changed it in registry on the Control PC and Settings was still showing 0.5 so this evening I went into registry on the audio PC and changed it and I am now seeing the higher value in settings on both PCs. Need to do some listening now. Cheers, Pearse.
