new_media
Pretty sure it's a CD. The Stones' ABKCO catalog was released on hybrid SACD in 2002 in cardboard sleeves. A bit later they released CD versions taken from the DSD masters, in jewel cases. This appears to be one of the latter. The CD versions did all say "DSD Remastered" on them, which confused a lot of people at the time. Link to comment

CatManDo
The problem with ABKCO discs is that the hybrid SACDs were were later reissued as CDs with the same barcode, which lead to many wrong listings in online stores, as sellers thought it was the same product. One had to look at the packaging to see the difference, in particular the "DSD remaster" sticker, which is only on the CD. Claude Link to comment

You have to look at the actual disc to see the DSD logo. "Relax, it's only hi-fi. rwwjr44
You need to check for the Super Audio CD logo, which is supposed to be on both the packaging and disc. The DSD logo alone doesn't mean that the disc is an SACD. The DSD logo alone doesn't mean that the disc is an SACD. FYI, there is no Super Audio CD logo on the packaging for the Abkco Rolling Stones SACDs. At least, not on "Beggars Banquet", "Let it Bleed", and "the singles collection*the london years", all of which I have. The only logos are on the disc labels. There is both the Super Audio CD logo and the DSD logo. In addition, beneath the logos is printed, "This stereo hybrid SACD can be played on any standard Compact Disc player". Normally that is printed on hybrid SACD packaging. Not so in this case. "Relax, it's only hi-fi. The problems with it not being on the packaging is that you can't be sure until you inspect the disc. Now you have the hassle of wrangling a return or not being able to return it at all. These sort of oversights, as simple as they may seem, can be problems for we customers. These sort of oversights, as simple as they may seem, can be problems for we customers. When abkco initially released the hybrid SACD Stones albums, they were sold at regular CD prices. As I understand it, they discontinued the hybrid versions when Sony pulled the plug on manufacturing SACDs for other companies. Whether unfortunately or intentionally, as CatManDo points out, abkco continued to use the same bar code. "Relax, it's only hi-fi.
