audio.bill
Just to clarify the Regen does not change the data or sampling rate which is what Rob Watts warns against. Link to comment

HumanMedia
what's Regen job and how it improve the sound of hugo , since MR Rob say it didn't ? Rob the Chord designer says a lot of things which I am sure are just the company line. In my experience adding a JS-2 power supply to a 2Qute and it nips at the heels of the next Chord DAC up at three times the price... However anecdotally actual users report that the Regen DOES improve the Hugo but NOT the 2Qute. Difference is that the 2Qute has its USB galvanically isolated. Link to comment
PT7
I agree Human Media ,That's what I'm reading : regen improve most of dac sound .. I ordered regen and remedy ,,,I'll maka sure to test both in the same set up .. And about Hugo, for me it sound thin not very rich like other big dac ,detail and smooth with very good imaging not 3d but a little flat Last dac/amp I heard was Codex and from my memory it sound better than my hugo ,,I may order one ,,if regen and remedy didn't improve the sound .
