dummy
My Arcam rDAC just died on me and while I wait to have It repaired or buy something else, my mind just went blank and I can't remember how to connect my pc to my amp. A 3.5mm to stereo RCA Y cable? Or is there such a thing as a USB to stereo RCA Y cable? Thanks! Arcam rDAC / Oppo BDP-83 / NAD 315BEE / Totem Arro Link to comment
flatmap
Right, you'll be using the computer's built-in DAC (such that it is) and taking the resulting analog signal straight from the headphone jack. Thus the 3.5mm stereo to RCA cable that you mention is needed. Then straight into one of the analog inputs (but not the phono input) on your amp. 2013 MacBook Pro Retina -> {Pure Music | Audirvana} -> {Dragonfly Red v.1} -> AKG K-702 or Sennheiser HD650 headphones.
