KRK Rokit RP5 G3 - these speakers worth getting? or any equivaalent for the same price ish?

need some speakers mainly listening to music, considering these

would like some bass, not too much but a good nice sound

 

 

what do you think of the above? reviews seem to be good...

I'm used 6 series. Proper for mixing. However has many bass. Generally no bad. But I prefer more "flat" frequency response. You need listen the monitors.

i am actually considering the yamaha hs7 now....

 

i heard they are good and have good sound with bass

 

just need to find a good price

Some time ago I have conversation with one man who asked about KRK too. After he buy Yamaha's monitors.

 

KRK has bias to bass, more then I like. However, KRK has no bad price/quality ratio.

 

Price $500 per 1 monitor me seems entry level.

When I was looking for monitors, I found that the Tannoy Reveals had higher reviews than the lower end rockits. Maybe look at Tannoy Reveal 502's. They're about the same price as the Rockits you're looking at.

 

Look up the serial number ranges to look for in the Tannoys. The ones before a certain range of serial numbers had some noise to them when idle that could cause ear fatigue if you have the volume high.

 

Apparently though they sound very good.

Yes. It's better way compare alternatives. I recommend check on records with deep bass and second record with dense high frequencies. And third with jazz hats, and with acoustic guitar.
