Slow USB HD?

Have a 1.5 TB NewerTech RAID1 connected to Mac Mini by USB2. Have 1.25TB of CD rips and downloads on the HD. Mytek DSD192 is hooked up to Mini with FW. Nothing else connected to Mini nor external HD.

 

Having issues that appear to be "latency" with data feeding Mini and playing HQPlayer up converting files to DSD.

 

Have never done any service, defray, repair...or anything else to HD. Is there some process that might address this issue?

 

FWIW, No issues with A+ or PM2, memory players.
