photonblur
al210, the 2Qute is the DAC I'm presently saving up for. It is frustrating to keep reading reports now and again of the Regen not benefiting this DAC. Could it be simply because you are not using the solid USB connector? Could it be the 2Qute has design efficiencies that some other dac's lack causing the regen effect to be non-consequential? pb- Link to comment
photonblur
It is possible, but there are several people here (including one reviewer IIRC) using the REGEN with a 2Qute and reporting worthwhile results. Other 2Qute owners please chime in. I have been doing daily 2Qute web searches for weeks as I am strongly considering a purchase. Aside from one comment by one reviewer that the 2Qute benefited from a regen-js-2 combo I have seen only anecdotal reports of vaguely marginal to negative sq. differences from the regen/2Qute pairing. pb- Link to comment
photonblur
Just noticed my soon to be shipped Regen has an 18 inch power cord. I'm going to need a 3 ft. cord. I reside in the US. Any suggestions? pb- Link to comment
photonblur
Yggy+Regen=best decision unequivocally and unequivinstrumentally; having heard every dac in the known worlds please accept my humble unbiased opinion that the Yggy+ Regen(hard adapter)->pyst schiit usb-> edo/sbt=irreproachable primo dac sound as independently verified by a team of discredited discheveled dismissed JPL scientists. actually.....my first few extended listening sessions revealed punchier bass and less cymbal sibalance but also less musicality. Then snap. Things got riveting. Interesting that post Regen my comfortable listening level is +7-10 decibles. Great product. Link to comment
photonblur
Its been almost a week with the Regen feeding my Yggdrasil dac. I removed the Regen today and the difference was undeniable. With Regen bass and cymbals gain realistic tone and extension. Nothing subtle. Obvious improvments. The Regen is back for good. I wonder about guys who are preoccupied with measurements. Just saying............. Link to comment
photonblur
Anyone tried one with the Schiit Yggdrasil? Just curious if there any improvements to be had by using the REGEN I've had a Yiggy and Regen for five months. In my system the Regen definitely enhances lower and upper frequency definition; overall a cleaner sound. I stream from a squeezebox touch which perhaps benefits more than other sources. Like every other component it's system dependent. With the genereous return policy what's to lose? Looking forward to trying the slightly less mysterious UpTone DC-DC LPS. pb- Link to comment

photonblur
did you ever compare the SBT - USB- Regen - Yggy vs. SBT - Coaxial - Yggy? If so, what's your take on it and which cables did you use? IME the SBT-USB-Regen-Yggy has a finess and subtlety that keeps me interested. SBT-Coax-Yggy exagerates bass and highs which gets boring. Cables, I use the hard-adapter and splurged for a Schiit PYST usb pb- Link to comment
