esimms86
Reportedly found dead of a heart attack in his home last night. A great loss, needless to say. He's probably gigging in heaven with Bert Jansch who died in 2011. Link to comment
rodrigaj
The Pentangle was one of the truly original groups of the late 60's. I still have my vinyl disc with the silhouette on the cover. RIP. Jck
Very sad news. In more than 45 years I've never grown tired of listening to The Pentangle nor any of John Renbourn's albums since. He was a wonderful guitarist and interpreter of many styles. His early solo record Faro Annie has been on my "desert island list" for decades. John Link to comment

Faro Annie is my favourite. I don't normally like "Best Of" albums but Best Of John Renbourn is very good and a worthwhile introduction. If you like White House Blues I think you would be happy with either. Renbourn has a very large discography so there are many excellent albums to explore. John Link to comment
AlainGr
Thanks John, I checked the two of them on Qobuz and I selected (for the moment) Faro Annie. It really sounds good. Alain Link to comment
GrahamJohnMiles
Saw him perform live, wow, perhaps around 1968 in Cornwall in some little theatre or community hall. Such speed and dexterity. Link to comment
