Moode Audio Player for Raspberry Pi

tcmods

Recommended Posts

I am now running 3.6 and my current favorite configuration is through an RPI 3 USB to Singxer and then IIS to Gustard X20 to my tube based front end. I normally upsample to 384K PCM however I do like DSD. Natively DSD 256 works however no upsampling to DSD that I can tell?

Hi!

I'v just purchased 3.6, and enjoy it.

It is great improvement!

Thanks!

However, I have two problems.

One is that moodeOS 3.6 does not recognize meta data of AIFF at all.

A file name of AIFF is displayed only.

Please see attached images.

In case of other sources, for example m4a, flac, mp3, etc., meta data is recognized and displayed on UI correctly.

It is confirmed that an artwork named "folder.jpg" placed on the same level as AIFF was recognized and displayed on UI.

After deleting it, no artwork is displayed when playing AIFF sources.

I know that meta data of AIFF is recognized and displayed until 3.1.

I hope that this problem will be solved in next version.

Another one will be posted as a new one in order to avoid confusion.

Hi,

Same problem here, on the other hand MPaD (remote control app) is picking the tabs just fine.

Hi,

Zip up two of the aiff files and email me a download link. I have one other report of this issue that I'm investigating with MPD dev.

Thanks Tim for your reply. I am afraid to admit that I do not know how to do what you are requesting.  Google sure knows, I will check it.

On the other hand I just found a problem with the Library tab. At first view it looks fine reporting the correct total number of tracks: 32666.

But looks are deceiving, if I click on one artist (ie.: Art Pepper), it shows only one album (out of 6) and one track (out of 9).

This is happening within al the artists that I have checked.

All the information appears correct on the Browse tab. Likewise MPaD seems to get everything correct.

Hi,

The Library panel uses Genre, Artist and Album tags, and if any are not present in the song files it assigns the virtual tag "Unknown".

-Tim

I am not sure that I follow. All these, Genre, Artist and Album tags, were displaying just fine in previous versions of Moode.

Furthermore, this library is the same that I use for Roon, iTunes and MPaD with not existing tagging issues.

Hi,

It may be a regression bug with current version of MPD 0.20.x that Moode uses.

I need sample files in order to open issue with MPD dev so he can investigate.

I will try to get those files to you ASAP.

More to the point. I have a SD card with Moode v3.1, rescanned the DB just to be sure, and there are no tagging issues.

Thanks,

Hi everybody,

I passed yesterday night to 3.6

Since I had 3.1, I downloaded 3.6 and installed on the sd...so I had to remake all the settings with some difficulties. Squeezelite does not work...I had problem with volume SW and HW and I had to disable it. Moreover none browser works well since do not allow to visualize the bottom of the screen when scroll down (and even in "customize" window).

I use Gustard x20 via USB

Thanks for your help

Hi,

Try turning on USB (UAC2) fix on System config.

-Tim

it seems it works. i will test for a while.

Any chance to improve visualization on pc browsers (on tablet is really ok)...the bottom part is nor reachable since remain covered by the bar browser-library-playback ...even the "customize" window I'm not able to reach the button "update" since it is hidden

Just installed Release: 3.6, 2017-04-23 on my system:

Pi 3 B

SanDisk 32GB

HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro

Illuminations D-60 Coax Cable 0.5m

Peachtree Audio iNova

Q-Logic 3020 speakers

Streaming from SMB share on Synology NAS

Anker Battery for Power Supply

Really easy set up and very happy with overall sound quality.

Only problem so far: The top bar with the icons does not render at all on macOS Safari, works fine in Chrome.

Hi,

Very odd.

Moode is developed on Mac OS X and Safari and I've never had any Browser issues. Currently OS X Sierra and working fine.

Try clearing Browser cache and history.

Thanks for the quick response. I cleared the cache and now Safari works as it should.
