eltee00
Anyone successfully install HQ player embed and controlling it via Minimserver? I'm gonna take a day out this weekend to try to work on this and would like to get some pointers from someone who had successfully did this. Link to comment
bibo01
The user hifi25nl posted a tutorial how to do it on this forum but I cannot find it. However, you can find it where he posted it originally on Italian NextHardware forum: HQPlayer: Introduzione e Indice argomenti - Pagina 47 (just Google Translate it or, easier, use Google Chrome browser). How curious are you? Link to comment
bibo01
Miska, (without opening a new thread) For video playback, is there any way to send audio signal to HQPlayer Embedded from an application like VLC or similar? How curious are you? Link to comment
Miska
(without opening a new thread) For video playback, is there any way to send audio signal to HQPlayer Embedded from an application like VLC or similar? Possibly, but the delay vs video would be unbearable... Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment
bibo01
Possibly, but the delay vs video would be unbearable... Can you please explain how? The delay can be compensated within VLC. Once delay length for HQPlayer processing is worked out, one delays the sound accordingly. How curious are you? Link to comment
shadowlight
Here is the thread that bibo01 mentioned earlier - http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f11-software/hqplayer-friendly-way-and-stream-tidal-qobuz-spotify-23034/ Link to comment

But without lot of compensation it won't work. And the total delay varies depending on settings used. Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment

And the total delay varies depending on settings used. With VLC one can set any delay, no limt. Furthermore, I doubt that one would decode PCM>DSD and use very heavy computing filters, but at least in practical terms the same NAA setup can be used for audio and AV playback. However, I still do not understand how the AV chain is going to be. How can I direct audio to HQPlayer Embedded from VLC? Thanks How curious are you? Link to comment

If you are referring to my inquiry, I know hifi25nl (he is Italian too). I believe his tutorial was for audio only, not for AV. However, I am in touch with him to work on this "AV matter".
