Liam
Sorry if this has already been covered. Has anyone compared simply turning off WiFi in a Mac Mini to using an Ethernet connection? Using Qobuz for streaming I find quite a difference simply turning WiFi off and using the Qobuz offline feature to listen to the same music from my external WD storage connected by FireWire to the Mini. Just wondering if for sound quality it would be more worthwhile running a Ethernet cable from the router in a hallway to the Mac Mini as an alternative. One practical advantage of course would be that I might have the convenience of streaming live the same or better quality. I know I may be told try it and see. Previous experience might help me to decide if it would be worthwhile though as there would be some concrete wall drilling etc. involved. Is there a risk of inducing external pickup of RF into the Mac Mini carried on the Ethernet cable, replacing one kind of RF pickup for another?
