Paul Pang v2 USB Card and Hackintosh

Recommended Posts

In case this helps anyone:

The Paul Pang v2 USB Card, which I normally use with Windows machines, works perfectly in Mac OS (Yosemite here) using the GenericUSBXHCI kext.

Sounds fantastic...

Hi clipper,

Thanks for sharing. Can you please share what your Hackintosh setup consists of?

Sure. It's a couple years old now and wasn't specifically built with audio in mind.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UP5-TH

CPU: Intel i7-3770K

Case: Corsair Carbide 500R

Power Supply: Corsair HX1050

Video Card: GeForce GTX 670

CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS11X

RAM: 2 8 gig sticks of G.Skill 2133 MHz DDR3

Thanks Clipper,

A while back I looked into it and that is indeed a great site. But I found it really hard to find a mobo that ticked all the boxes at the time and went with stripping a Mini completely bare (Mac CAPS thread) to just the bare mobo. The one element that always lacked though was the ability to use such a PPA/SoTM/JCat card. Superdad is working on a plug in version for Mac.
