JR4321
Suggestions on the best SQ for a Spotify setup, please? Current setup: Windows Vista Desktop-->AudioEngine D3-->McIntosh preamp/amp-->Joseph Audio Rm22si I can't eliminate a hiss/feedback when playing Spotify through the Windows desktop. Eliminating the D3(direct to onboard sound card), moving the computer location, insuring power wires aren't crossing the signal, etc... I even installed a new wall outlet. Nothing changes. Switching to an Apple MacAir-->Audio Engine... fixes the problem. But I can't dedicate the Apple to the sound system. I could just get another Apple Laptop, but am wondering what other changes would be recommended to get the most from this setup. Thank you. Link to comment
Bill Lord
iPad->Airplay->AppleTV/Apple Airport Express->TOSLINK/Mini TOSLINK to TOSLINK->McIntosh OR Create a RAM disk and store all local music there, http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f22-networking-networked-audio-and-streaming/spotify-ram-disk-and-sound-quality-21129/ What am I listening to? http://www.last.fm/user/o0obillo0o Link to comment
JR4321
I listen almost exclusively to streaming service. I'll update to a hi-tea service if/when available (assuming I can confirm I hear a difference). Thank you. Link to comment

JR4321
Reading on my phone. I misunderstood your suggestion. I'll try this suggestion for improved SQ. Hopefully it will also eliminate the hiss/pops/crackle. Don't suppose you have a guide for doing this with a PC? Thank you. Link to comment
