500Homeruns
I just spent over an hour searching for info on how to stream my JRiver music library to my HTC One M8 using the mobile network. I have no problem using Gizmo to stream music using WIFI on my home network, but I want my music outside of the house. Link to comment
Dr Tone
You have to forward the right port on your router. Roon Rock->Auralic Aria G2->Schiit Yggdrasil A2->McIntosh C47->McIntosh MC301 Monos->Wilson Audio Sabrinas Link to comment
jriver
And the firewall on the PC must allow outside access on the port, usually 52199. This might help: Network Access - JRiverWiki Jim Hillegass / JRiver Media Center / jriver.com Link to comment
richie60
Does Jriver support upnp? If not, would it not be easier to install a upnp server like Serviio or similar and stream to Bubble upnp on your android phone. Works great for me, I would advise purchasing the app as it's brilliant. Link to comment
Dr Tone
JRiver can be configured to be an UPNP server. JRemote is only days away from being released on Android. IMO, if it's 3/4 as good as the iOS version it would be the best solution for streaming to an Android device. Well worth the money over Bubble UPNP or any other UPNP app. Roon Rock->Auralic Aria G2->Schiit Yggdrasil A2->McIntosh C47->McIntosh MC301 Monos->Wilson Audio Sabrinas Link to comment

jriver
JRemote is on the Google Play Store now. Make sure you get the one from JRiver. Jim Hillegass / JRiver Media Center / jriver.com Link to comment
SeeHear
I haven't tried JRemote on android - Gizmo works really well (as does JRemote on IOS); both are virtually bullet proof in NYC metro and DC metro areas in my experience, on T-mobile and ATT networks. Either one requires configuration of your router and/or firewall to access from outside you LAN. JRiver's help files have all the information you need regarding which port to configure, regardless of the mobile client you use. Link to comment
500Homeruns
I'm still having trouble with Port Forwarding. I guess I'm not as smart as I thought. Link to comment
