wgscott
I doubt there will ever be a valid physical basis for the claim that wires have a preferred directionality. Link to comment

beetlemania
I doubt there will ever prove to be an audible phenomenon that requires an explanation based on quantum theory. Given your disdain for all things "audiophoolry", this implies you think quantum theory is bunk. And here I was thinking you were a science advocate. trithio
Since I am surely not asking for insults I want to add that the assertions above include my own hearing and experience. Everytime I change something in my system I think I hear differences. Especially if it's a nice component. Almost everytime they vanish as soon as I try a more formal test. And nothing fancy, mostly I just go out of the room and ask my wife or a neighbor to change a cable or so. And I usually try with my eyes closed. Link to comment

I doubt they can identify even 10% of those audible differences in a controlled, non sighted test. as the laws of physics would have to be broken for them to hear a difference, why do you think they would be able to identify 10 %. I used 10% was just as a placeholder for 'low percentage'. Never made or saw any stats or studies like that. As about those broken laws of physics I am pretty sure there are people who can also 'hear' the laws cracking. Cable break-in anyone? I find that thread scary. Link to comment

Jud
- I doubt people will cease overemphasizing ultrasonics as important regarding hi res. - I doubt people will place sufficient emphasis on quality of recording and mastering vs. resolution. - I doubt either of these principles will keep me from buying the successively higher-resolution Beatles collections the minute they make it to Pono (when/if that happens).
