Hifidelit
I run Xtream but use whatever you prefer that's why there are options, the second server runs ws2012 in core with the AO and no monitor attached, Phil's advice in his guide is: Do not install the 3rd party driver of your video adapter if not absolutely needed. Many graphic card drivers set system priority in favor for the graphic card. If you really need the graphic cards driver, try to install only the INF files with PnPUtil and not the whole driver package. Link to comment
Hifidelit
It would be good to get the ca opinion and review on software like HQ Player and JPlay in Xtream mode using JPlay mini etc. If you look at the computer audiophile suggested hardware page the majority of recommended software is from 2011 or older. Hifidelit
Well he must have tried these things because in the section a note about sponsorship of the CAPS v4 write up he states: Prior to contacting JRiver I had already decided what playback applications would be used for the CAPS v4 project. I also didn't let JRiver know this software decision, thus avoiding any semblance of impropriety. Link to comment
Hifidelit
Not convinced he did then Bob? The Cortes and Pipeline would make a good Xtream engine test for JPlay mini and either could test HQPlayer. Link to comment
