I'd hate to be migrating to a new format that only had mp3 quality with all the movies and liner notes to appease masses... OTOH, they could set a new standard based on DVDs and downloads that does only high rez Link to comment
syganymede Posted August 21, 2009 Share Posted August 21, 2009 First I hope they have done there homework, the CMX file extension is already taken by Corel Metafile Exchange Image Files. Second who knows what CMX maybe, but Apple are working also on a similar idea they call "Cocktail", which when you hear about it looks a lot like Quicktime which is able to handle multiple tracks of information in a single file container.
