Audivarna 2.0 and file organization

For those of you who have made the jump to 2.*, how do you organize your music directories?

 

My understanding is there are 2 options.

 

1) adding folders to sync with Audirvana Plus.

2) using the existing iTunes organization.

 

If I choose option 1, are there any suggestions or best practices for organizing folders? I'd like to keep it simple, maybe just artist subdirectories and no album. Not sure.

I'm still using 2, as I'm too lazy to invent a new folder structure for my files that are anyhow based on a large existing Itunes database, and also because I still need Itunes for Iphone sync.
