Greetings from NZ,

 

i have been been a lurker on this site for a very long time fuelling my passion for all things audio. To say music is a passion is an understatement. Any spare time I get is sitting in the sweet spot with a glass of NZ vino or going to as much live music as possible. I listen to a lot of electronica, downbeat, dubstep, dub, dnb I also love indie, some rock, pop. I've spent year building a system that really did it for me and have found you guys to be a wealth of knowledge. My latest conundrum is wondering how big of an improvement a linear PSU such as a mojo or core would make given that I am already using the iFi usb? Any experience on this would be appreciated

Thanks flatmap it took a very long time to find speakers that were so balanced, coherent and engaging but completely unflappable with some of the electronic music I listen too. Likewise the NAF is a 300b dual mono in push pull configuration which gives it extension and awesome dynamics. The lampi, well lets just say I was lampizated I took a risk shipping one unheard to NZ but it paid off in spades.

Welcome! Can't comment specifically to your situation, but upgrading the power supply in general can have a significant impact. One example is my DAC - a Bel Canto 1.5. When I went to the LNS1 power supply the DAC became a whole other league the main diffrence being what was not there if that makes sense. The background is virtually silent bringing forth much more detail, as well as punch.
